Our People

Your hosts at 14th Lane have years of hospitality experience and there is a wealth of local insider knowledge, you only need ask.

Craig Young

Project manager, handyman, and general all-rounder, Craig has been in hospitality, among other things, since 1984.

One of his greatest strengths is his ability to talk to anyone about anything.

Vicki Young

Wife to Craig, and longtime business partner to Janet. Vicki is an avid foodie with around 40 years experience in the hospitality scene in varying roles.

Hosting guests and sharing her enthusiasm for the Marlborough region is something she loves to do, and nothing pleases her more than to hear a guest say 'Thank you.... we loved our stay, we will be back'.

Janet Enright

Janet was born and bred in Marlborough, however, left Blenheim following her school years to see the world.

She brings many years of both domestic and international hospitality experience to the hotel, along with lots of local stories and an enthusiastic sense of humour.

"Whilst this hotel was beautifully situated and styled, the room was comfy and attention to detail paid, absolutely nothing compares to service like that of Craig, Janet and Vicki. I'd had some flight troubles and the team were more than accommodating before I'd even checked in, so kind throughout my stay and truly treated each and every guest like a family member. I felt so cared for and the team were always up for a chat and a debrief on my day. I'd stay here 100 times over and only wish the property and service could be replicated all throughout NZ - the best kiwi hospitality "
